MOSCOW, March 7. /TASS/. Russian troops raised a national tricolor flag over the liberated community of Andreyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to the footage uploaded by Russia’s Defense Ministry on Friday.
"After the settlement of Andreyevka was completely mopped up, servicemen of the 114th Motor Rifle Brigade, the 51st Army of the Battlegroup Center installed a flag of the Russian Federation and the brigade’s well recognizable banner," the ministry said in a statement.
In the liberation of the community of Andreyevka, Russian assault teams carefully planned their actions, it said.
Specifically, Russian drone teams uncovered weapon emplacements and amassment areas of the Ukrainian army’s personnel and camouflaged UAV positions. Using attack and explosive drones, Russian forces destroyed basic Ukrainian firing positions and deployment areas, the ministry reported.
"After that, small groups mopped up [Ukrainian] firing positions and each building and courtyard," it added.
