Lavrov says events unfolding in Syria nothing but complex game with large number of actors

The Russian foreign minister expressed hope that the context which the sides were planning for this week would help stabilize the situation

MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. Stabilizing the situation in Syria is not easy, it is a complicated game involving many actors, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, commenting on the activation of Islamist terrorist groups in the north of the country.

"It's a complicated game. Many actors are involved," he noted. " I hope that the context which we are planning for this week will help stabilize the situation," the top diplomat emphasized.

According to him, Russia has the information on who supports terrorists in Syria. "The information which is being floated and it's in the public domain mentions among others the Americans, the Brits. Some people say that Israel is interested in aggravating this situation," the top diplomat pointed out.
