MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson that he considers US President-elect Donald Trump strong and friendly, but not pro-Russian.
Lavrov recalled that he had seen Trump several times when the US politician met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "He received me twice in the Oval Office when I was visiting for bilateral talks," the top diplomat recalled. "I think he's a very strong person. A person who wants results. Who doesn't like procrastination on anything. This is my impression. He's very friendly in discussions. But this does not mean that he's pro-Russian as some people try to present him," the Russian foreign minister said.
In this regard, Lavrov recalled that the amount of anti-Russian sanctions imposed under Donald Trump's administration "was very big."
