Politician reveals volunteers from 40 countries seek to join Russia’s special operation

According to Vladimir Rogov, people that want to join the military operation face logistical problems and this issue requires a solution at the government level

MOSCOW, February 2. /TASS/. Volunteers from more than 40 countries are seeking to sign up for action as part of Russia’s special military op, Chairman of the We Are Together With Russia group Vladimir Rogov said on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio on Thursday.

"According to the information that I have, people from more than 40 countries want to come to fight for an understandable cause and understandable ideals, for common interests, the preservation of traditional society and an adequate future for the entire world," he said.

According to Rogov, people that want to join the military operation face logistical problems and this issue requires a solution at the government level.

"I think this issue will move forward in the near future so that those who want to, could, through certain organizations, embassies, and informal ties, not just get in touch and then look for ways, sometimes for weeks, months, how to get to us, [but come]," he added.

A TASS reporter earlier said three people from Turkey had signed on to the ranks of the Pavel Sudoplatov volunteer battalion that’s being formed in the Zaporozhye Region. Yevgeny Balitsky, the interim governor of the Zaporozhye Region, said in mid-January that volunteers from Serbia had joined the Pavel Sudoplatov battalion.
