KHERSON, October 26. /TASS/. More than 70,000 residents of the Kherson Region have left the right bank of the Dnieper River in the past week, the region’s Acting Governor Vladimir Saldo said.
"It’s rather hard to gather statistics here, they will be correct only where records are kept. People contact a call center and express a wish to move to the left bank. However, Kherson is a city on water and people here have their own boats. Still, I am sure that over 70,000 people relocated in the past week after a ferry crossing service had been launched," he told the Crimea-24 TV channel.
