Zelensky’s words confirm military goals of US biolabs in Ukraine — lawmaker

Earlier, the Ukrainian president said that Ukraine had begun receiving arms supplies from Western countries in late 2021

MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s acknowledgments of his country’s preparations for military action against Russia proves that the operation of the US biological laboratories in Ukraine pursued military goals, Deputy Speaker of Russia’s State Duma Irina Yarovaya, a co-chair of the parliamentary commission investigating the US biolabs in Ukraine, said.

"This is what happens to liars and criminals, as in a fit of flamboyant lies they spill the beans. Zelensky’s fleeting revelations that he and NATO had begun the war earlier and that the arms against Russia had begun pouring in to Ukraine a long time ago are, on the one hand, an opaque hint that he could say more. But even what was said is enough to justify the need for a special operation to defend the LPR and the DPR (the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics - TASS) from imminent extermination," said Yarovaya, quoted by the press service of the United Russia faction on Friday.

"In this case, the acknowledgments about the Ukrainian regime’s long-standing aggressive preparations for military action against Russia provide understandable justification why the US Department of Defense established bacteriological laboratories in Ukraine, and they are military goals," Yarovaya added.

According to the lawmaker, the weapons, which Zelensky was speaking about as a must-have, "obviously included the secret US bio laboratories, as the rush to dispose of them was nothing more than an attempt to conceal the evidence of an international crime to develop bacteriological weapons, which were meant to target Russia."

Earlier, Zelensky said in an interview with BBC that Ukraine had begun receiving arms supplies from Western countries in late 2021. When asked by the journalist whether Kiev received weapons from the West back in December and January, Zelensky replied in the affirmative. In his words, the Ukrainian leadership feared Russia’s offensive steps, so they had sought to join NATO, battled some political groups inside Ukraine and started this war even earlier.
