As of 5:48 Moscow time, (2:48 a.m. GMT) the gold price was down by 1.86% at $4,445.6 per troy ounce.

By 5:59 Moscow time (2:59 a.m. GMT), the decline slowed down, with gold trading at $4,472.4 per troy ounce (-1.27%).
