TBILISI, May 19. /TASS/. Supplies of oil and petroleum products from Russia to Georgia exceeded 289,200 tons in January-April 2025, which is 20.7% higher than in the same period in 2024, according to figures provided by the National Statistics Service of Georgia.
Georgia imported oil and petroleum products worth $205 mln from Russia in the reporting period, according to the service. In the previous year, the country imported 239,590 tons worth $183.8 mln.
Georgia’s total purchases of oil and petroleum products reached 526,600 tons in January-April worth $396.5 mln. Russia with an over 54.9% share in Georgia’s imports of oil and petroleum products was followed by Romania (103,400 tons), Bulgaria (84,100 tons), Uzbekistan (10,200 tons), Azerbaijan (8,200 tons), Greece (6,800 tons), Turkey (6,700 tons), Turkmenistan (4,900 tons), and other countries.
