China’s BYD reports $107 bln in revenues, outpacing Tesla

Tesla's revenues amounted to $97.7 bln in 2024

SHANGHAI, March 24. /TASS/. Revenues from operations of the Chinese automaker BYD surged by 34% annually to 777.1 bln yuan or $107.2 bln last year.

According to financial statements released, the Chinese company outearned Tesla, whose revenues amounted to $97.7 bln last year.

During the reporting period, BYD’s revenues rose by 27.7% to 617.4 bln yuan ($85.16 bln). Revenues from sales of electronics gained 34.6% to 159.6 bln yuan ($22 bln). BYD’s net profit increased by 34% year on year to 40.3 bln yuan ($5.55 bln) in 2024.

In addition to cars, BYD manufactures batteries, solar batteries, smartphone components and semiconductors.
