TBILISI, February 18. /TASS/. Georgia's external public debt at the end of January amounted to $8.54 bln, which is $41.1 mln (0.47%) lower than the previous month's figure, according to data of the Ministry of Finance.
In particular, Georgia's debt to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development decreased by $10.9 mln, to the International Development Association of the World Bank - by $8.5 mln.
Among countries, Georgia's debt to France decreased by $2.5 mln to $763.5 mln. This country remains the largest holder of the republic's public debt. At the same time, Georgia's debt to Germany increased by $0.8 mln to $558.4 mln. Georgia's debt to Russia remained unchanged at $7.8 mln.
