Flight program for Cuba can be revised due to jet fuel shortage — Russian air regulator

Rossiya and Nordwind air carriers are flying from Moscow to Havana and Varadero airports, the Russian air regulator added

MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. The flight program of Russian air carriers between Russia and Cuba can be revised due to jet fuel shortage for all airlines in Havana and Varadero airports, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) said.

"Possible changes are related to two NOTAMs issued by aviation authorities of Cuba. Notices inform about the jet fuel shortage for all the carriers without exception in Havana and Varadero airports during one week: from 08:01 a.m. Moscowtime [05:01 a.m. UTC] December 1 to 08:00 a.m. Moscow time [05:00 a.m. UTC] December 8," the regulator said.

The Russian Ministry of Transport, the Federal Air Transport Agency and Russian airlines are holding consultations with Cuba to minimize the effect of jet fuel shortage for flights of Russian airlines.
