Russia remains Tajikistan’s largest trade partner in nine months of 2023

According to the the statistical agency, imports from Russia to Tajikistan constituted the major portion of trade turnover in the reporting period worth around $1.1 bln

DUSHANBE, November 7. /TASS/. Russia remained Tajikistan’s biggest trade partner in the first three quarters of 2023, with trade turnover between the two countries exceeding $1.2 bln, according to data provided by the statistical agency under the president of the republic. Meanwhile mutual trade volumes slipped by 0.6% compared with January-September 2022.

Imports from Russia to Tajikistan constituted the major portion of trade turnover in the reporting period worth around $1.1 bln, while exports roughly amounted to $100 mln, according to data obtained by TASS.

Russia was Tajikistan’s key partner in terms of imports in the period, with goods supplied to the republic from the country accounting for 26.7% of all its imports.
