MOSCOW, December 1. /TASS/. Over 500 drills are included in the Russian Navy’s combat training plan for 2018, Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Vladimir Korolyov said in an interview with Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper on Friday.

"The plans include over 500 tactical drills of naval forces at sea," he said.

The Russian Navy will take part in the Joint Sea 2018 Russian-Chinese drills and the Indra Russian-Indian exercises next year, the commander said.

The Russian Navy will also take part in the 2018 International Army Games planned to be held on July 28 - August 11, 2018, Korolyov said.

"From December 2017 to July 2018, the Navy will undergo intensive training for the main naval parade," the admiral said.

In 2018, Russian naval forces will sharpen their combat skills at sea as part of combined arms and same-type groupings and tactical groups, the Navy commander-in-chief said.

"Plans have been drawn up to train the crews of submarines under construction. They will be trained under special programs in 2018," he said.
