Russia says its Buk air defense system destroyed Ukrainian air-launched missiles over DPR

The ministry added that anti-aircraft crews are on 24-hour combat duty

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. A Buk antiaircraft missile system of the battlegroup East destroyed a few NATO-provided Ukrainian guided air-launched missiles over the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"A Buk antiaircraft missile system of the battlegroup East repelled an enemy aerial attack, destroying NATO-made Ukrainian guided air-launched missiles over the DPR," it said in a statement.

According to the ministry, upon detecting the moving air targets as they approached the positions of Russian motorized riflemen, the operator of the system launched anti-aircraft guided missiles, hitting all targets.

The ministry added that anti-aircraft crews are on 24-hour combat duty and successfully repel air attacks, missile strikes and enemy drones.
