Komorowski, Poroshenko discuss matters aimed at settling Ukraine's crisis

WARSAW, June 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Prospects for a settlement of the crisis in Ukraine were the main subject of discussion on Tuesday during talks between Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and Ukraine's President-elect Petro Poroshenko.

According to Jaromir Sokolowski, spokesman fot the chancellery of the Polish leader, the meeting focused on prospects for a settlement of the crisis in Ukraine, Ukraine-Russia differences, as well as Polish-Ukrainian cooperation, including Poland's support for Ukrainian reforms, particuarly those regarding local self-government bodies.

Poroshenko had arrived to Warsaw at Komorowski's invitation to attennd festivities on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the first free parliamentary elections in Poland. During the two-day visit, Poroshenko will also meet with US President Barack Obama and a number of European leaders.
