\WASHINGTON, March 21. /TASS/. US Department of State Spokesperson Tammy Bruce has refrained from saying who will represent the United States at the upcoming talks with Russia on Ukraine in Saudi Arabia on March 24.
"I am not going to speak about the particular individuals on the teams, all right, it is senior officials. It's not principals," she told reporters when asked to name members of the US delegation.
"I think it's inappropriate to discuss personnel, let alone senior officials who might be on a negotiation team. But, yeah, it's a dynamic (the meeting in Riyadh - TASS) that clearly gets the results from. We'll see the details, and then we can make some assessments about where we go next," she added.
US special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg told ABC News on Thursday that the US delegation will include members of his team, representatives from US national security adviser Mike Waltz’s team, as well as Director of the Secretary's Policy Planning Staff Michael Anton. The delegation is expected to include senior director for Europe and Russia at the White House National Security Council Andrew Peek, who was Waltz’s team member when the latter was a House member.
Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said earlier that Russian and US experts will hold consultations in Riyadh on March 24. The Russian delegation will be led by Senator Grigory Karasin and adviser to Federal Security Service director Sergey Beseda.
