Yemeni ports of Hodeidah, Ras Isa put out of service by Israeli strikes — source

Damage also came from sweeping fires that were set off by strikes on oil tanks in both ports

DUBAI, December 26. /TASS/. The Yemeni Red Sea ports of Hodeida and Ras Isa have been completely knocked out by Israeli air strikes, a Houthi source told TASS.

According to the person, the attack seriously crippled the port infrastructure. Damage also came from sweeping fires that were set off by strikes on oil tanks in both ports. "The attack has put the ports completely out of service," the source said.

Earlier on Thursday, Israeli jets pummeled Yemen, with strikes targeting Sanaa International Airport, and the seaports of Hodeidah and Ras Isa. A major power plant at Ras Kanatib also came under attack. According to Houthi-owned Al Masirah television, the Israeli strikes killed at least four people and injured 16 others.

World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus was at the Sanaa airport when it was hit. He said he was unscathed in the attack and waiting for the damage at the airport to be repaired so that his flight could leave the country.
