West does not share advanced equipment fearing it may end up in Russia — Ukrainian expert

Maria Berlinskay also recognized the superiority of the Russian army, calling it one of the "strongest armies in the world," and opined that none of the NATO countries would be able to withstand a confrontation with the Russian military

MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Ukraine does not receive any advanced technologies from its Western partners due to fears that the Russian army may seize them as trophies, Maria Berlinskaya, the founder of the Ukrainian Aerial Intelligence Support Center, told the local news portal Telegraf in an interview.

She said that Ukraine's partners were dismantling high-tech equipment from a number of weapons for fear that they would be seized by the Russian army. Also, Berlinskaya said that a huge part of the drones supplied to Kiev did not work: "They are inoperable in conditions of such a strong electronic warfare."

She also recognized the superiority of the Russian army, calling it one of the "strongest armies in the world," and opined that none of the NATO countries would be able to withstand a confrontation with the Russian military.

"They would lose in a war with Russia within a matter of two or three weeks," she added.

Earlier, Oleg Starikov, a retired colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine, also expressed a similar viewpoint. In his opinion, the Western countries, while using Ukrainian territory as a testing ground for their weapons, were afraid of giving Kiev permission to use F-16 fighter jets in combat operations for fear that their fighters would begin to be shot down.
