SEOUL, July 9. /TASS/. Russia’s team won a women's handball gold at the Summer Universiade in Gwangju, South Korea, a victory bringing the nation's score to 34 gold medals, second place ahead of the games closing on Tuesday and first place with 122 in the total medal count.
China's team also has 34 gold medals but yields to Russia in silver and bronze.
Russia has a total of 39 silver and 49 bronze while China owns 22 and 16 respectively. Neither team can win more awards in the time remaining.
First place goes to hosts South Korea, with 47 gold medals.
