"The caches were located near communities of the Simferopolsky and Leninsky districts of the Republic of Crimea and were carefully camouflaged by building rubble. Bomb technicians seized two metal cylinders with TNT block charges," the press office informed.
The explosives weighed a total of 20 kg, the FSB said. "In addition, a metal pipe welded with a steel plate, filled with a TNT block charge and weighing 8.5 kg was found in the cache. The caches also contained eight standard electrical detonators, two fuses and an anti-tank mine with a total weight of 9.6 kg," the statement says.
Investigators have launched criminal cases into the discovery of arms and ammunition under part 1, article 222.1 and part 1, article 223.1 of Russia’s Criminal Code, the FSB said.
"Currently, measures are underway to search for and identify individuals complicit in creating these caches," the press office said.
