Russian police have identified the body of journalist Sergey Grachev, who went missing on July 21

MOSCOW, August 1. /TASS/. Russian police have identified the body of journalist of Argumenty i Fakty (Arguments and Facts) Sergey Grachev, who went missing on July 21, chief editor of the weekly newspaper’s Internet service Vladimir Shushkin wrote on his Facebook page.

"Now police have officially confirmed that the dead man, who has been found, is our colleague Sergey Grachev. He has been identified," Shushkin said, giving no more details.

Investigators in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, in the Volga Federal District, launched a criminal investigation on July 27. According to the newspaper, Grachev went missing during his trip to Nizhny Novgorod. Last time the journalist was seen on July 21 when he was leaving a local hotel. On July 31, a local search and rescue group Rys found the journalist’s body.
