MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. Investigators have classified 43,000 people as victims of the Ukrainian army's incursion into the Kursk Region, the press service of Russia's Investigative Committee told TASS.
"[Russia's Investigative Committee Head Alexander] Bastrykin was informed that investigators continue to work with residents of the region who suffered from crimes of Ukrainian troops. As many as 43,000 people have already been recognized as victims," the press service said following an operational meeting held by the head of Russia's Investigative Committee in Kursk.
Forensic departments of Russia's Investigative Committee provide ongoing assistance to investigators during the inspection of the scenes and other investigative actions to document the crimes of Ukrainian militants against civilians, the agency specified.
Employees of the Center of Forensic Medical Expertise of Russia's Investigative Committee evaluate the damage caused as part of construction and technical examinations and appraisals.
