If Europe succeeds in getting Zelensky to talks - kudos to it, Kremlin says

The British capital hosted a meeting to discuss peace in Ukraine on Sunday

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Europe’s role in the Ukrainian settlement, stating that if European leaders are able to persuade Vladimir Zelensky, who is unwilling to pursue peace, to enter negotiations, they should be praised and honored.

"It is very important that someone makes Zelensky change his position. He doesn’t want peace. Someone should make Zelensky want peace. If Europeans can do this, kudos to them," Peskov said.

The British capital hosted a meeting to discuss peace in Ukraine on Sunday. The leaders of Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Finland, France, Sweden, as well as Zelensky, European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President Antonio Costa and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte gathered in London. The leaders discussed European security guarantees to Ukraine as part of the conflict settlement.
