MOSCOW, February 25. /TASS/. Russia is holding discussions with all the participants of the Friends of Peace platform, which seeks to advance the settlement of the Ukraine crisis, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
According to him, concepts rather than specific plans are being discussed at this point.
"We are engaging with all the participants of this process in one way or another, we are sharing information, they are presenting their approaches. So far, no specific plans for implementation have been discussed within the framework of this process. The outlook on prospects for achieving a settlement was discussed there. This process is underway," Peskov explained, replying to a question about interaction with the platform’s founding countries.
Last year, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, at a meeting with Brazilian Special Presidential Envoy Celso Amorim, announced that China, Brazil, and other countries of the Global South had created the Friends of Peace platform. Its goal is supporting the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. According to the top Chinese diplomat, this is not going to be a closed group but rather an open platform, aiming for inclusive dialogue.
