MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry and other official institutions will not attend the Munich Security Conference, as Moscow has not received an invitation, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.
"As you know, Russian officials do not attend the Munich Security Conference. This decision was made several years ago. It is a politicized ruling, a strange one. Thus, no representatives from the Foreign Ministry or other official Russian agencies and bodies will attend. I can tell you this for sure," the diplomat said.
She emphasized that this year, as in all others since the start of the special operation in Ukraine, "Russia received no invitation to this event."
Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that Russian and US officials would meet on February 14 to discuss the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
