Minsk would be great venue for talks on Ukraine — Russian envoy

Last December, Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Yury Ambrazevich said that Minsk applied for participation in the peace talks on Ukraine, as its interests should be considered in the final agreements

MINSK, February 11. /TASS/. Minsk would be an effective site for holding talks on the settlement of the Ukraine crisis, Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov noted.

"I would like to emphasize that the city of Minsk, as a venue for high-level talks of this kind, has already proved its effectiveness many times, especially given that the current events directly affect the interests of the Republic of Belarus - both as a sovereign country and as an integral part of the Union State, within which the Treaty on Security Guarantees operates," he told TASS.

Last December, Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Yury Ambrazevich said that Minsk applied for participation in the peace talks on Ukraine, as its interests should be considered in the final agreements.

February 12 marks the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, a step-by-step plan for the peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in Donbass.
