MELITOPOL, December 4. /TASS/. Russian troops, after liberating 20 square kilometers near Razdolnoye, have begun fighting for control of the Novy Komar settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Chairman of the Civic Chamber Commission on Sovereignty, Patriotic Projects and Support of Veterans Vladimir Rogov told TASS.

"Russian troops are operating south of Velikaya Novoselka and have already liberated about 10 square kilometers. They have entered the settlement of Novy Komar. Intensive combat operations against the Ukrainian armed forces are underway," he said.

According to the official, Russian troops have liberated approximately 20 square kilometers north of Velikaya Novoselka, near the village of Razdolnoye. The source noted that Russian forces are bypassing Velikaya Novoselka from the north, as the settlement remains a key logistics hub for the Ukrainian army.
