State Duma votes to address Bundestag over Berlin’s role in crimes of Kiev regime

State Duma members also questioned the assurances of reluctance on the part of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to send long-range missiles to Ukraine which they suspect may conceal the true goals of Germany’s policy toward Ukraine

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. The State Duma voted at a plenary meeting on Tuesday to address Germany’s parliament, the Bundestag, over Germany’s role in crimes being committed by the Kiev regime against civilians and the damage being done to civilian infrastructure on Russian soil.

"Members of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation think it important, timely and necessary to address German parliamentarians, members of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany, over the leaked information about a conversation among German military commanders about sending Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine and their potential use by Ukrainian forces for hitting critical civilian infrastructure in Russia, including the Crimean Bridge across the Kerch Strait," the address reads.

In it, Russian lawmakers call for conducting an unbiased probe into the involvement of the Bundeswehr, or the German armed forces, in the hostilities in Ukraine.

State Duma members also questioned the assurances of reluctance on the part of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to send long-range missiles to Ukraine which they suspect may conceal the true goals of Germany’s policy toward Ukraine.

Also, Russian legislators urged members of the Bundestag to prevent actions that could draw Germany into the military conflict. "The State Duma believes that the successful years of Soviet-German and Russian-German experience of resolving conflicts, common sense, on the part of the German people and parliamentarians who express their will, will prevent the catastrophe of a direct military confrontation between Germany and Russia from happening and bring the two countries closer to starting a mutually advantageous political dialogue for the sake of peace and prosperity in Europe," according to the document.
