MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. The Russian public’s confidence in President Vladimir Putin rose by 4.4% to 77.4% over the week, that’s according to the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) that published the results of a survey conducted from February 28 to March 6 among 1,600 respondents aged over 18.
The survey center said, "77.4% of Russians said they trust Vladimir Putin, which is 4.4% more than the results of a poll from February 21-27. The level of approval of the Russian president's work was 74.6% (plus 4.2% over the previous survey)."
The level of positive assessment of the Prime Minister and the Russian government over the past week amounted to 48% (+3.9% over the week) and 49.7% (+3.7% over the week), respectively. As for the question of confidence in Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, 59.3% responded positively (55.6% the week before).
Respondents also commented on the work of the heads of parliamentary factions. Thus, according to the survey, 34.4% of respondents favored the work of Vladimir Zhirinovsky (+5.3% over a week), Gennady Zyuganov got the approval of 25.8% of those surveyed (+0.7% over a week), Sergey Mironov was supported by 28.3% of the respondents (+2.7% over a week), and Alexey Nechaev took home an approval rating of only 6% (8.3% over a week ago).
The level of support for a number of political parties rose over the week. In particular, it concerns United Russia - 39.4% (36% in the previous week), and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) - 7.4% (7.2%). Other parties lost their support: the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) - 11.7% (1.3% less in a week), The New People - 5.1% (-0.8% less in a week), and A Just Russia - For Truth - 5.2% (-0.6% less in a week).
