Russia faces West's information terrorism in media and cyberspace — diplomat

According to Maria Zakharova, such attacks are carried out through Ukrainian resources

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Russia is facing unprecedented information terrorism in the media and cyberspace from the West, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday.

"We have to face an unprecedented information attack, even information terrorism. It concerns not only the media environment but also the cyber environment, it comes from the West," she said.

In her opinion, such attacks are carried out through Ukrainian resources. Zakharova believes that they are aimed at misinforming the global community and discrediting Russia's actions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, on February 24, launched a special military operation in Ukraine following a request for assistance from the leaders of the Donbass republics. He said Moscow had no plans for the occupation of Ukrainian territories. The sole purpose is the country's demilitarization and denazification.
