China’s Haval to boost output, local manufacturing content in Russia, says minister

According to Denis Manturov, as the company updates its model line-up new versions will appear on the Russian market

ST. PETERSBURG, June 17. /TASS/. China’s Haval plans to increase the production of cars and local manufacturing content in Russia, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday.

"They [Haval] plan not only to increase output, but also to boost local manufacturing content," he said, adding that as the company updates its model line-up new versions will also appear on the Russian market.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum organized by the Roscongress Foundation is running from June 15 to 18. This year’s forum is dubbed: ‘New Opportunities in a New World’. The SME Forum, the Creative Business Forum, the Drug Security Forum, the SPIEF Junior Dialogue and SPIEF Sport Week are also going to be part of the SPIEF event.
