TASHKENT, October 7. /TASS/. Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin have held a telephone conversation to note the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries, according to Mirziyoyev's press service.
"The dynamic development of cooperation in all areas was noted with satisfaction. The volume of mutual trade and the scale of cooperation between leading enterprises in industry, energy and other priority areas are steadily growing," it said in a statement.
The head of Uzbekistan also "cordially congratulated the Russian leader on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, prosperity and success, as well as prosperity to the friendly Russian people."
Mirziyoyev emphasized "Vladimir Putin's historical role in the formation of modern Russia and his personal contribution to strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.".
