Russia, Belarus complement each other despite different resource capacities — Lukashenko

"This format in particular fully ensures security in its broad sense: from economic and informational to military, demonstrating a high level of cooperation amid supply failures and issues with financial payments," the Belarusian leader said

MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Russia and Belarus seamlessly complement one another in the industrial sector despite their different resource capacities, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko told Russia’s Federation Council (the upper house of the parliament).

"Despite the differing resource capacities of Belarus and Russia, we seamlessly complement each other, as well as mutually address each other’s gaps, integrate the advantages of each country," he said.

Lukashenko also stressed the efficiency of the Union State. "Our joint work makes it [the Union State] a living organism that allows us to choose instruments we need, develop innovative methods of work depending on the existing circumstances. The recent harsh sanctions that have been imposed by the West absolutely illegally, are a vivid example," he noted.

"This format in particular fully ensures security in its broad sense: from economic and informational to military, demonstrating a high level of cooperation amid supply failures and issues with financial payments," Lukashenko said.
