TEL AVIV, January 21. /TASS/. Four people were wounded when a knife-wielding man attacked people in Israel’s Tel Aviv, the Ynet news portal reported.
The incident took place in the south of the city. Police described it as a terror attack.
The attacker has been eliminated, Ynet said.
According to the portal, the attack was carried out by a 29-year-old Moroccan national with a US residence permit who entered Israel as a tourist on January 18.
The police press office said that "an initial investigation revealed that a terrorist armed with a knife stabbed three civilians on Nahalat Binyamin Street and one civilian on Gruzenberg Street" in Tel Aviv. "The terrorist was then neutralized by security services," the agency added.
Israel's Magen David Adom medical service confirmed that the attack injured four people. All of those wounded have been hospitalized, the doctors added.
