US military support for Ukraine exceeds $62 bln since 2022 — Pentagon chief

NEW YORK, December 8. /TASS/. The United States has supplied Kiev with $62 billion worth of military aid since the beginning of the special military operation, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said.

He added that Ukraine's other allies provided the Kiev authorities with about $57 billion over the same time period, bringing the total assistance given to the country to around $119 billion.

The Pentagon chief confirmed that the new military aid package for Ukraine will be approximately $1 billion and will include missiles for HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and drones. The Russian government has repeatedly stated that supplying Ukraine with weapons will not weaken Moscow's resolve or alter the course of its special military operation.
