BEIRUT, December 3. /TASS/. A military commander of the Shia Hezbollah movement in Syria has been eliminated in an Israeli airstrike on a car just outside Damascus, Sky News Arabia reported.

According to the agency, the incident occurred on the highway leading to the Syrian capital’s international airport near an overpass in the Aqraba area. Following the hit, the car caught fire, killing the commander.

Earlier, a source in the police department of Damascus reported that "a car was blown up on the highway leading to the airport in an act of Israeli aggression."

On November 14, an airstrike on the Mazzeh municipality in Damascus killed two commanders of the radical Palestinian Islamic Jihad group. More than 20 other people died in the strike too, with several civilians among them.
