BEIRUT, November 14. /TASS/. Israel’s missile strikes on Syria’s Al-Qusayr neighborhood bordering Lebanon destroyed transport infrastructure in the southwest of the Homs governorate, the SANA news agency said, citing the Syrian defense ministry.

"Israel has staged an aggressive attack on Syria from the Lebanese airspace," it said. "The enemy struck bridges across the Orontes River and roads near the Syrian-Lebanese border in the Al-Qusayr neighborhood, serious damaging and destroying them."

The Sham FM radio station said earlier that Syrian air defense systems repelled an Israeli attack southwest of the city of Homs located some 165 kilometers from Damascus. Missiles targeted the Al-Jubaniya bridge. Six people were wounded.

According to the Dubai-based Al Hadath television channel, three Syrian army checkpoints near the al-Adra, al-Daf, and al-Mowh bridges were attacked. A motorway linking Al-Qusayr and the Homs-Tartus highway was damaged.

On November 5, Israeli warplanes conducted an air raid on the Al-Qusayr industrial area, destroying Hezbollah oil storage facilities and weapons depots.
