DUBAI, December 15. /TASS/. Yemeni Houthi rebels from the Ansar Allah movement said they had performed a drone attack on a Maersk Gibraltar container ship allegedly en route to Israel, movement spokesman Yahya Sarea said.

"The naval forces of Yemen have carried out an operation against the Maersk Gibraltar container ship," Sarea said in an address aired by the Al Masirah, adding that the vessel was en route to Israel.

"It was attacked by a drone," he added. "It was a direct hit.".
