Syrian Army takes down Turkish drone in Idlib

Turkey has not commented on the report yet

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Syrian Armed Forces have downed a Turkish drone in Idlib province, SANA news agency reported Tuesday.

According to the report, "a Turkish drone has been taken down near the city of Saraqib in Idlib province." 

Turkey has not commented on the report yet.

Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense claimed that Turkish forces downed a Syrian Armed Forces plane. Syrian media located the shooting incident to the Idlib province, but did not disclose whether it was taken down or not.

On March 1, Syrian Ministry of Defense reported that Turkish F-16 downed two Syrian planes over the Idlib de-escalation zone, and that the pilots managed to eject. The Turkish Ministry pointed out that two Su-24 planes were taken down after allegedly attacking the Turkish planes.
