MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said that a former Moldovan special agent who had arrived in Russia to collect intelligence data had been expelled from the country.
According to the FSB, the Moldovan national, Dmitry Rusnak, who was tasked with collecting sensitive data about official Russian plans regarding Moldova, arrived in Russia in 2024. "Given the foreigner had done some real damage to the security of the Russian Federation, he was expelled from our country in February 2025, and he was banned from entry to Russia for 60 years," the FSB added.
Acting in the interests of Moldova’s intelligence, the foreigner attempted to obtain legal status in Russia. He was supposed to demonstrate his loyalty and readiness to cooperate allegedly for the sake of our countries, should he appear on security radars, the FSB explained. However, a polygraph test upon his arrival in Russia revealed that his purpose was to collect intelligence data and conduct sabotage.
