NEW DELHI, February 7. /TASS/. Russia's fifth-generation Su-57E fighter jet has arrived in India's Bangalore where it will participate in the 2025 Aero India, a source in the Indian Air Force told TASS.
"The Su-57E jet has arrived today in Bangalore at the Yelahanka Air Force base. The jet is flown by a Russian pilot, Hero of Russia Sergey Bogdan," the source said. He recalled that the aircraft will demonstrate a flight performance at the 2025 Aero India aerospace and defence exhibition, which will be held on February 10-14.
Earlier, Russia’s state tech corporation Rostec said that the country was ready to offer India full cooperation on the Su-57E fifth-generation fighter jet project, including joint production. According to the Russian state arms export agency, the proposals include the supply of finished aircraft, organizing their joint production in India, as well as assistance in the development of India's fifth-generation fighter jet.
The Su-57 jet is the world's only fifth-generation fighter that has proven its effectiveness in real combat conditions against Western air defense systems. The aircraft is capable of carrying a wide range of precision-guided weapons and features low visibility for enemy detection systems.
Aero India has been held at the Yelahanka Air Force base since 1996.
