Execution of civilians in Selidovo a display of genocide — Human Rights Commissioner

Tatiana Moskalkova noted that, earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that "military justice must document the evidence of war crimes and take all possible measures to bring the perpetrators to court"

MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. The execution of civilians in the town of Selidovo, Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is evidence of the genocide, organized by the Kiev regime, Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatiana Moskalkova said.

"Today, we obtained yet another piece of evidence of genocide, committed against civilians [the execution of the civilian population of Selidovo]. <…> The international public tribunal did a huge amount of work on gathering and documenting the evidence of genocide, Nazism, murders of civilians, war crimes that have no statute of limitations, unprecedented mass violations of human rights. <…> Just recently, we were observing the Days of Commemorating genocide <…> and remembered the horrible days of genocide during the Great Patriotic War. Today, we have all indications that genocide, neo-Nazism have resurrected," she said during the presentation of the report of the International public tribunal on the crimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis, titled "The mass execution of civilian residents of the town of Selidovo by the Ukrainian armed forces."

The ombudsman noted that, earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that "military justice must document the evidence of war crimes and take all possible measures to bring the perpetrators to court."

"I believe that it was a very important statement, which has become a new benchmark in this genocide-related situation," Moskalkova added.

She underscored that war crimes must not remain unpunished.

On October 29, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of Selidovo by Battlegroup Center.
