MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the participation of Russian legislators in the special military operation is a courageous move deserving respect.

"I will reiterate that many State Duma delegates from United Russia, regional and municipal leaders at various levels, went to the frontline on their own to fight for our Motherland. This is a brave and courageous move worthy of every respect. Thank you all," he said at the United Russia party congress.

Putin also said that the veterans of Russia’s special military operation who returned with injuries must receive special attention and full support.

"Extra care must be provided for those who came back home after heavy injuries," he said, noting that their leadership qualities must be fully engaged in tackling national tasks.
