Several hundred people accused of collaborationism in Ukraine since March

According to Artyom Dekhtyarenko, criminal cases against 268 people have been referred to court, and verdicts have already been passed in respect to 53 of them

KIEV, November 10. /TASS/. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has identified more than 700 people suspected of collaborationist activities since March, the service’s spokesman, Artyom Dekhtyarenko, said on Thursday.

"The SBU has exposed more than 700 people. And this is directly under Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Collaborationism), which did not exist at all until March of this year," the Security Service quoted Dekhtyarenko on its Telegram channel.

According to him, criminal cases against 268 people have been referred to court, and verdicts have already been passed in respect to 53 of them.

On March 15, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law adding the article "Collaborationism" to the Criminal Code of Ukraine," which can be invoked to punish any cooperation with Russia. The punishment carries up to 15 years in prison.
