MOSCOW, August 7 (Itar-Tass) - Son Vasily of a legendary ice hockey coach Viktor Tikhonov died in Moscow, falling from the window in an accident, representative of the main investigation department of the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow Sergei Stukalov told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
“Overnight to August 7, Vasily Tikhonov, 55, was found dead at 23, Novy Arbat Street, with injuries typical for falling from a big height. An inquiry before the investigation is underway over this case,” Stukalov noted.
“The initial questioning of the neighbours showed that out of fears of burglars, who, in his view, could have gotten in the flat, climbing on the grid, which covered the residential house over the repairs, the man decided to cut it, but losing the balance, fell from a height of the fourth floor. The man died of bodily injuries at the accident site. The kitchen knife, with which he, according to preliminary reports, tried to cut out some part of grid, was found in the hand of the dead man,” Stukalov noted.
