New state arms program requires precisely calibrated decisions on all fronts — Putin

Special attention in the state armament program will be paid to the development of unmanned systems and precision-guided weapons, noted Russian leader

MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. The new state arms program (SAP) requires precisely calibrated and effective solutions across all areas, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Military·Industrial Commission.

"I would like to emphasize that the new SAP requires rational, precisely calibrated, and effective solutions across all areas and parameters," he said.

Putin noted that work on the development and implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence will continue during the implementation of the programs under consideration.

"Let’s talk about this. There are still a number of issues we’ll discuss in a completely closed session," the Russian leader concluded.

Special attention in the state armament program will be paid to the development of unmanned systems and precision-guided weapons. "Special attention will be paid to the development of a wide range of unmanned robotic systems for various purposes, as well as precision-guided weapons," Putin said.
