DONETSK, February 17. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops booby-trapped the bodies of civilians they killed in Avdeyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a deputy commander of a motor rifle battalion of Russia’s Battlegroup Center told reporters on Monday.

"Yes, the militants booby-trapped the bodies of civilians and tried to hide the traces of their crimes," said Lieutenant Artyom Aleksentsev with the call sign Krestik from the 80th Tank Regiment of the 90th Tank Division who had participated in the liberation of Avdeyevka a year ago.

Russian army engineers deactivated all the explosives while evacuation teams transferred the bodies of the civilians to medical services, he added.
