Russian forces clear some seven hectares of forest near Kremennaya of Ukrainian troops

Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov announced on Monday that 99.3% of the LPR territory had been liberated

LUGANSK, December 17. /TASS/. Russian forces have expanded their patrol zone near the city of Kremennaya in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) in the past few days, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.

"Our forces taking part in active military operations have managed to wipe out the front lines of Ukrainian militants and expand their own patrol zone southwest of Kremennaya. Over the past few days, some seven hectares of the Kremennaya Forest have been cleared of fighters. Up to a squadron of enemy troops were killed or wounded and over ten armored vehicles were destroyed," he specified.

Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov announced on Monday that 99.3% of the LPR territory had been liberated.

Marochko told TASS on December 3 that Russian troops had to drive Ukrainian forces out of five more settlements in order to take full control of the region. According to the military expert, the five settlements that remain to be liberated are Nadiya, Novoyegorovka, and Petrovskoye in the Svatovsky District, Novolyubovka in the Kremenskoy District, and Belogorovka in the Lisichansky District.
