Russia elected to UN Committee for Program and Coordination

Apart from that, director of the Russian foreign ministry’s personnel department Andrey Ivanov, was approved as a member of the International Civil Service Commission in 2025-2027

UNITED NATIONS, November 14. /TASS/. Russia has been elected to the Committee for Program and Coordination, the main subsidiary organ of the Economic and Social Council and the General Assembly for planning, programming and coordination.

"On November 13, the 38th plenary session of the UN General Assembly held election to the Committee for Program and Coordination and approved candidates to the General Assembly’s subsidiary bodies responsible for administrative and budget-related issues. According to the results of General Assembly voting, Russia won a landslide victory over Lithuania, 104-83, and was elected to the Committee for Program and Coordination for a period of 2025-2027," the Russian mission to the United Nations said. "Thus, the Russian delegation has confirmed its authoritative role in administrative, budgetary and personnel affairs of the world organization."

Apart from that, director of the Russian foreign ministry’s personnel department Andrey Ivanov, was approved as a member of the International Civil Service Commission in 2025-2027, and Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Chumakov was approved as member of the UN Staff Pension Committee for the same term.
