"It’s striking how many of them there are, from all regions, from every age group - as we sort through [the questions] we see different ages, whenever people themselves want to make it public. Very many people encourage Putin to run and continue on as head of state, declaring their full support. This really jumps out at you," Peskov said.

The spokesman also commented on the fact that the annual televised call-in show will be combined with the annual news conference.

"A press conference is a press conference, and questions from citizens will also happen as usual," he said.
